  1. So glad to see you back on line Larkin. We think of you often and want to keep in touch. Thanks for your card.

  2. Hi Candy,
What a delight to hear from you! And I am thrilled that you have found your way as a teacher of free motion quilting. I had no doubt that you could master the techniques – you just had a machine with a bad attitude at that moment in time. I think machines can sense tension in the operator. Once you calmed down, you did just fine. Wishing you joy in all your creative endeavors!
    Peace,
    Larkin

  3. Larkin, I’ve been wondering about you, and couldn’t seem to find anything. I’m so sorry that your life took such vicious turns. Hopefully things are getting better now. If you even come back to New York State, I’d be thrilled to take another workshop from you. I’ve done lot with the things you’ve taught me. You’ll be surprised to learn that I am now teaching free motion quilting classes. What a change from my first workshop with you when I cried out of frustration. You sent me away with a book to calm down. I tell all my students about it to show them that it’s OK to not be good at quilting right away. Sending happy thoughts and prayers in your direction.

  4. Hi Vicki,
It’s good to be back, sort of. I am hoping my calendar will settle down soon and I can actually get on with writing and posting pictures. Meanwhile, thanks for the lovely words of welcome back.
    Peace,
    Larkin

  5. Hi Bobbi,
I am happy to hear from you. My life was turned upside down five years ago when my most dearly beloved husband Van got cancer. I left the teaching world to become his caregiver. He passed away a year ago, and I am just starting to get my feet back under me. With his passing, I lost my website, email, blog, photography – everything, and am starting over – slowly. The blog, which I haven’t given much thought since it got set up, due to family issues, is my first step back. While I do have a couple of lectures on the books, teaching is not yet on my agenda, with one notable exception. I will be teaching a full week class at the Grunewald Guild near Leavenworth, Washington next summer. While the schedule has not yet been published, I am on the docket for July 7-13, 2019. I’ll be offering my class on making 3-D objects with fabric – vases, boxes, shrines, houses, etc. You can find out more about the guild at: https://grunewaldguild.com/
    Peace,
    Larkin

  6. I am interested in taking workshops from you. How do I find out what you are offering?
